Gold prices in Bangladesh have surged to a record Tk 202,195 per bhori (11.664g), rising by Tk 1,420, according to a Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announcement. Dhaka remains cloudy with ongoing rain, and further rainfall is expected across Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Dhaka divisions due to active monsoon winds. The highest rainfall was recorded at 168 mm in Noakhali, while Dhaka saw 86 mm. The heavy rains have led to ferry service suspensions and flooding in coastal areas like Bagerhat and Patuakhali.
